New Retail, Education & Leisure Expansion

  • Mega FoodWalk

Our vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people and we do that by offering our visitors a great day out – from the time they arrive in the parking lot.

The latest retail extension will be fully integrated to our existing Mega FoodWalk, where customers can experience a wide variety of cuisine in the largest food and beverage destination of Eastern Bangkok.

Megabangna’s unique low-rise architecture and carefully executed mix of outdoor and indoor spaces creates a modern vibe and creates a true meeting place for family and friends. The FoodWalk extension will accommodate an additional 40 restaurants and a large supermarket with wide selections of premium grocery items. The new wing will also include a parking garage for 1,200 cars. Mega FoodWalk is on track to open for the public in December 2017 as scheduled.

  • Education & Edutainment

Our expansion efforts also combine education and amusement, linked to the Megabangna shopping centre. A school is currently being built, brought to enhance the educational level and fulfill the living needs of nearby residents within easy reach. We are also expanding our kids education offer of Megabangna, to create a true place that facilitates constant possibilities to learn new things, master new skills and develop emotional intelligence in children. The meeting place we are creating with Megacity recognizes and acknowledges the needs of the local community and will take an active role in contributing to a better environment for the many people.

  • Theme Park

In addition, to create a unique and mind-blowing family experience for the first time in Bangkok, a multimedia-technology Theme Park is also under construction. It will become one of the top family destinations for visitors, both domestic and international. The theme park is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2018 on a 10,000 sqm land plot connected to the Megabangna shopping centre.

Leisure & Community Park

Construction is currently ongoing on the first large community space that will link Megabangna to the new uses and components. Our ambition is to create a place that is the heart of the community. The First Megacity Hotel

To serve the total development of Megacity, we have partnered with the Hotel and Hospitality division of Jones Lang Lasalle(JLL), a global real estate service firm, to establish the first hotel at our location.
We are in the final stages of selecting the hotel operator, with construction aimed to start in 2019, ready to welcome our first hotel guests in 2021.

Infrastructure and Capacities

  •  Road extension

We are currently building a new four-lane road stretching 1.2 KM, complete with landscaping and pedestrian walkways. At Megacity, we envision that people will live and work within easy reach of the places they shop, share meals with family and socialize with friends. Improvements and modifications to our existing road infrastructure is a key action to enlarge our current destination, facilitate improved accessibility, traffic distribution, and enable connectivity between the existing as well as future uses and components.

  • Parking

Each day thousands of visitors arrive to our meeting place in cars, which turns effective and convenient parking into a component of strategic importance. A new multi-story parking garage, with space for 1,200 cars, opens in December 2017 to facilitate seamless connectivity to the new supermarket and Mega FoodWalk extension.
